Texans running back helps inspire youth with pro camp

During a hot, sunny July day in the humid city of Houston, Arian Foster hosted hundreds of children during his own football camp at Westfield High School Saturday.

Foster said he’s happy to provide kids with an organized camp which gets them outdoors.

The camp offered youth a chance to learn about football technique and an opportunity to practice their newly acquired skills. Some of the skills which were noticeably taught included throwing a football and how to take a snap from under center.

“It inspired me to do what I wanted to do with my life. Hopefully, I can spark one of these kid’s interest and get them to go after their dream.”

The Albuquerque, N.M. native got the idea of his own camp after attending Brian Urlacher’s as a youngster himself.
